Angie Schwendeman is a wife, mother, photographer, and author. The Cincinnati native resides in middle Georgia with her husband, daughter, and faithful black Labrador. Although Perimenopause and Menopause: What you really want to know, but no one tells you is her first published book, she has been writing blogs, poetry, stories, and partial manuscripts since her days at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. While researching neurology about hormones, for Book 2 (“Meno Edition” – tentative title), Angie needed a break from reading medical journals. She set out to write an imaginative story inspired by her childhood and devoted to her daughter and dog. As a young girl, Angie wasn’t a big reader. She found reading boring and couldn’t get lost in the pages. That changed when she discovered the “Choose Your Own Adventure” books. The idea that the reader could choose the path sparked an instant change, which quickly turned her into a voracious reader.

On what started to be a mini hiatus from hormonal research, she wrote a story about a curious girl who solves mysteries with her beloved black Labrador. Angie framed the story in the style of “Choose Your Own Adventure,” with readers making decisions at the end of each chapter. In a short time, Book 1 turned into the Liv & Indy: You Make the Call Series. She hopes these books will appeal to readers looking for something interactive and a little different.

Angie is a self-proclaimed wine snob who enjoys coffee, tennis, pickleball, hummingbirds, travel, writing, photography, and spending time with her friends and family.
