Jill K. Willis is the award-winning author of The Demons Among Us, recipient of the 2020 American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis Contest in the Young Adult category. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she worked at a newspaper, magazine publisher, and telecommunications firm before launching her own public relations agency. These days, Jill makes her home in North Georgia with her husband, where she balances life on the lake with a healthy addiction to Pilates and a passion for discovering new places around the world. When she’s not traveling or working out, she’s busy crafting stories for young readers—her current project is a middle grade historical fiction novel.

A lifelong storyteller, Jennifer Q. Hunt has worked as a writer of both fiction and nonfiction, as well as an editor and ghostwriter. She has over twenty-five years of ministry writing experience for churches, pastors, and Christian ministries. Jennifer writes fiction with faith and purpose. Her Sorrow and Song and Wisteria House series showcase multiple generations as they wrestle with their place in history and follow the Lord through challenging circumstances. Back in north Georgia after several years away, Jennifer is a happy wife to Christopher and homeschool mother to four elementary and middle school aged children.

Dr. Karen Phillips is an educator with over 30 years of experience working with children. She holds multiple degrees and accolades as she has served as an adjunct professor, administrator, and beloved classroom teacher. Dr. Phillips enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and running. She also volunteers in her church and community. She cherished her time spent with her wonderful family, which includes four adult sons, and their lovely wives, one precious granddaughter and grandson, many beloved brothers and their families. Dr. Phillips strives to create books that inspire wonder and nurture imagination, conveying meaningful lessons that resonate with young minds. Her goal is to foster of love of reading and create a deeper connection to the world.

Originally from South Louisiana, Rosalind Bunn is a retired elemen­tary schoolteacher. While she has dreamed of owning a bookstore, as the author of twelve children’s books she is well on her way to filling the shelves with her own tales! Rosa­lind lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband and a pet tarantula.

Maggie Bunn has seven titles co-authored with her mom. She loves reading, fishing with her dad, traveling, and going to baseball games. She has recently taken on a new challenge — nursing school. Go Braves!

Susan Pope Sloan Joins The Historical Fiction Panel at The Book Festival

With a family heritage of singers, songwriters, and storytellers, Susan Pope Sloan’s destiny as a writer was settled early on. She published nonfiction articles sporadically in denominational magazines and local newspapers over many years. Upon retirement, she began her dream of writing historical fiction. Her Rescued Hearts of the Civil War series focuses on the last year of that war and the start of the Reconstruction period. Her current project is a dual-time novel set in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia. As a member of ACFW and Word Weavers International, she continues to hone her writing skills and share tips with new writers. She also volunteers at the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, Georgia. Susan and husband Ricky have three adult children, five fabulous grandsons, and two adopted granddaughters.
